Whatever we do at the Hotel Certosa di Maggiano in Siena it’s all about passion and emotions, and this is also true whenever we speak about wines and food, which for us are an essential element of our life style as much of your personal experience throughout your stay.

The essence behind our concept of wine selection is far from being revolutionary or unconventional. Without repudiating the various techniques of matching food and wine, or even without pretending to build new one, when it comes down to recommend a bottle we prefer to rely more on the wine’s characteristics rather than on its seductive qualities.

Our only little claim is to let both, food and wine, talk out of the norms and conventions so you can listen to them as a "harmonious whole" leaving you the freedom to find the meaning that the most involves you and convice you throughout your whole experience at the Hotel Certosa, if even it is for few hours only.
